As a long time resident on Inis Oírr the photographer and videographer Cormac Coyne has a passion for documenting the island life of Inis Oírr in all its forms. Áras Éanna commissioned Cormac to make a short film documenting the the quieter side of island life outside of the tourist season. In September 2025, the renowned accordion player Máirtín O Connor spent a month on the island as an artist in residence and began the discussion of creating the score for this film. This has resulted in this beautiful short work that showcases the beauty of the island with the evocative sounds of Máirtín’s brilliant compositions.
