Open call for Galway County artists to apply for May residency at Áras Éanna, Inis Oírr

Áras Éanna and Galway County Arts Office are delighted to announce an open call for Galway County artists to apply for a residency in May.

Áras Éanna is the most westerly arts centre in Europe, located on the small Gaeltacht island of Inis Oírr in Co. Galway. The centre supports artists through its Artist in Residence programme. We offer artists the time and space to develop their practice and show new work in the unique environment of this island, which has a population of just under 300 people.

Galway County Council is the leading agency engaged in local arts development in County Galway. The Arts Office is dedicated to supporting artists with their career and development. We fund residency opportunities like this so artists can carve out time to think, research or make work.

Who can apply? The residency is open to professional artists living in County Galway at all stages of their career, working in any artform and context. (Artists living in Galway City cannot apply)

What’s included? Accommodation, return ferry tickets, studio space, access to theatre facilities and galleries and a €2,000 artist fee.

When is the residency? Monday 06 – Sunday 26 May 2024.

How do I apply?
