by Ciaran Tierney

Did you know that you can now buy tickets in advance for shows in our theatre here at Aras Eanna?

Over the next three Saturday nights we will have concerts by Lisa Lambe, The Raines, and Pat Quinn (with some very special guests) here on beautiful Inis Oirr.

We are using to offer you a secure and easy way of booking your tickets in advance to make sure you have a place at our shows.

This weekend, for example, we welcome one of the most exciting Irish singers, songwriters, and performers of the modern era, Lisa Lambe, back to Inis Oirr for a special show on Saturday (August 13).

With a stunning voice and evocative music, Lisa will be joined by acclaimed musicians John McLoughlin( Guitar) , Seán Regan ( Fiddle, mandolin) and Wayne Sheehy ( Percussion) for what promises to be a wonderful occasion.

You can buy your tickets for Lisa’s gig here:

On the following Saturday, The Raines return to Inis Oirr. The three band members will always have a special “grá” for Inis Oirr as they met up for the first time here on the island in the summer of 2018.

This gig is part of an Irish summer tour which includes dates in Dublin, Limerick, Westport, Ballycotton, Clifden, and Galway. They are coming to Galway with a full live band.

Tickets for this concert are selling very quickly, so please buy yours in advance in order to avoid disappointment. You can purchase tickets for The Raines at Áras Éanna at:

At the end of the month, on Saturday, August 27, we have a very special treat for locals when Pat Quinn, a Longford man who has lived here on the island for more than 20 years, takes to the stage.

Pat will be joined by some really special guests here at Áras Éanna and tickets are now on sale for his show at:

Apart from music, the visit of acclaimed writer and documentary-maker Manchán Magan with his new show, Arán & Im, should be a joyful event on Friday, August 26.

In this bilingual theatrical performance, Manchán bakes bread on stage while giving the audience insights into the wonders of the Irish language.

While the show is a celebration of the Irish language, land, and food, a strong command of our native language is not required. The show has attracted rave reviews. Tickets for Manchán’s show are now on sale at this link:
