Dominic will perform songs from POLCAPHONC, his lively new book of songs in Irish for children. The book has 20 newly composed children’s songs with everything from a greedy spider, a friendly ghost, children saving the world and an space alien that has a mad interest in fashion, especially clothes with polka dots.

Man of Aran is a 1934 Irish fictional documentary film directed by Robert J. Flaherty about life on the Aran Islands. It portrays characters living in premodern conditions, documenting their daily routines such as fishing off high cliffs, farming potatoes where there is little soil, and hunting for huge basking sharks to get liver oil for lamps. Some situations are fabricated, such as one scene in which the shark fishermen are almost lost at sea in a sudden gale. Additionally, the family members shown are not actually related, having been chosen from among the islanders for their photogenic qualities

Doimnic is a well known sean-nós traditional singer, accomplished uilleann piper and piano accordian player. From Gweedore in the Donegal Gaeltacht, Doimnic has proven himself as one of the best traditional singers in the country and has been winner of the coveted ‘Corn Uí Riada’ at the Oireachtas.
Benny is from Deelish in Co.Waterford. He began his musical voyage at the age of 13 and was mentored by none other than accordion legend Bobby Gardiner. Benny was Oireachtas champion on both Button accordion and 10-key Melodeon in 1994. Benny plays and manages the Internationally acclaimed Irish Traditional band Danú. He has shared the stage and recorded with many internationally renowned artists over the years including Liam Clancy, Tom Paxton, John Sheahan, Donovan, Donal Lunny, Seán Ó'Sé and others.
Born in Galway, Des Dillon is a textile artist and puppeteer who now lives in the foothills of the Knockmealdown mountains in Co. Tipperary.
Before becoming Artistic Director of Áras Éanna, Dara worked freelance as a set designer, scenic painter, cartoonist, illustrator and performer. With Fibín Theatre Company Dara has performed several ‘Live Art’ shows including, Clann Lir, An Rón Dall and Mac Piarais i bpictiúir.
Originally from Dublin, Dáithí has been resident on Inis Oírr for twenty odd years. Dáithí has a powerful voice that lends itself to songs and ballads that visitors to the island have enjoyed and savoured over the years.
