RTE Folk Music Awards nominee Padraig Jack Ó Flaithearta delivers a totally engaging performance which comprises a series of moments which are supported by his disarming charm, wit, perspectives on society, Irish history and of course top quality songs in both English and Irish. Padraig Jack released his second album called ‘These Shores’ in October 2024 to critical acclaim with a sold-out album launch in Galway while the album’s lead single ‘Long Street’ topped the RTE Airplay Chart for two consecutive weeks . A native of the the Aran islands in the Irish speaking Gaeltacht, a place that has produced the writers Liam O’Flaithearta, Máirtín Ó’Direáin and Breandán Ó’hEithir, Padraig is proudly bilingual both as a conversationalist and a songwriter and writes and sings meaningful songs on guitar and piano in Irish Gaelic and English. With influences from James Taylor and The Eagles to Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor and Shane McGowan, Padraig appreciates strong songwriting with a distinct point of view.

​With plaudits from industry legends like Mike Scott, Sharon Shannon and Miles Hunt, and laudatory reviews from the likes of Hot Press, Padraig Jack has already made his mark on the Irish music scene. Padraig is very proud to play on neighboring islands in Inis Oírr and Inis Meáin as well as making his debut at the Big Top for the Galway International Arts Festival as special guest to the Saw Doctors before performing live on TG4 for the launch of Fleadh na hEireann in August 24. So far this year, Padraig appeared at Dublin TradFest’, Galway’s bilingual festival ‘Tonnta’ before a tour in the UK and a trip to Montreal where he was selected to represent Ireland at the prestigious Folk Alliance in association with Culture Ireland.
