Ar An Dé Deiridh

A new play entitled Ar An Dé Deiridh, based on the folklore and history of Connemara that brings the ancient stories and place names of the place to life, is coming to Inis Oírr on Tuesday 16th July.  Produced by Gliogar, a collection of Connemara artists, and with Caoimhghín Ó hEoghusa as lead actor, this play is putting the story of the old Greek marathon in the context of the Norman conquest of Iar-Chonnachta in 1256A.D.  It will take place in Áras Éanna at 8pm and tickets of €5 are available through gliogar.ie
