An Criú 2 is an exhibition of theme-less, aim-less, point-less cross-disciplinary artwork; sculpture and painting, video and sound, big things and small things, inside and outside, síos ann agus suas an seo at Aras Éanna and around the island of Inis Oírr. The work is created by over 25 artists who usually work with Galway-based street performance and spectacle company Macnas but this July they will come together to be individuals – to show the world what they each do when they aren’t creating magic on the streets. An Criú 2 will be a celebration of art for art’s sake: irreverent and divine, silly and wise, ordinary and beautiful all at once. The exhibition is both inspired by and a gift to the unique island of Inis Oírr.
