Draw it in Irish & Lucie Arnoux

Draw it in Irish & Lucie Arnoux

As part of The Galway Cartoon Festival, an exhibition of cartoons in Irish will take place in Áras Éanna between the 6 October and the 6 November 2025. This is the sixth annual exhibition of Draw it in Irish, and it will be launched in Áras Éanna. The exhibition will showcase a wide variety of styles and subject matter from cartoonists based around Ireland and abroad to the community. We hope that the exhibition will be interesting, inspirational – and above all, that it will be funny.

As well, Lucie Arnoux the cartoon artist-in-residence in Áras Éanna for the end of September, will also exhibit. Lucie is an illustrator and comic author whose work includes the autobiographical graphic novel Je Ne Sais Quoi, and the series Enola Holmes. Also, she was the artist for the tabletop RPG Stonetop. During her residency, Lucie drew beautiful, soulful picture of the countryside, her experiences on the island, and of nights out full of craic and music in the pubs and in the Áras. We are hoping that visitors and islanders alike will enjoy the exhibition.

Opening at 18:30 in Áras Éanna Monday 6 October
