An Ceolchoirm Mhór
Áras Éanna will finish off their excellent 25th anniversary summer programme of events with ‘An Ceolchoirm Mhór’, The Big Gig. The concert will celebrate the music the arts centre has programmed over the past 25th years with an eclectic line up of talented performers. Since Áras Éanna first opened its doors in 2000 they have staged many memorable gigs featuring local, national, and international musicians at their intimate theatre space.
The gig will feature Inis Oírr based musicians (Mícheál O hAlmháin, Tom Ó Maoláin, Oisín Ó Cualáin, Bríd Ní Chualáin, Pat Quinn and others) and a fantastic line up of visiting artists including Leo Moran (Saw Doctors), Padraig Stevens, The Whileaways, and Mouse McHugh.
The night kicks off at 8pm on Saturday 20th September and will be followed with an after-party with special guest performers. There will be free acoustic sessions in the pubs on Sunday from 12.30 with many of the concerts artists to complete a very special weekend of music celebrating that celebrates Áras Éanna’s contribution in staging live music on Inis Oírr over the past 25 years.
