Mick O’ Dea was born in Ennis Co Clare in 1958. He studied at the National College of Art and Design Dublin, The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Winchester School of Art in Barcelona and Winchester where he was awarded a Masters in European Fine Art. He lectured at NCAD for sixteen years up to 1999 and has acted as an external assessor and lecturer in Art Colleges and Universities in the USA, UK an Ireland.
O’Dea has had numerous exhibitions and has participated in a wide range of artists residencies in Ireland, the USA and Europe.
The recipient of many awards, his most recent include The Ireland US Council / Irish Arts Review Portraiture Award in Dublin and The Royal Ulster Academy Portrait Prize in Belfast.
Toine Horvers' work as an artist consists of performances and descriptive writings. His performative work deals with time and space and is strongly related to the disciplines of dance, music and sound poetry. The performances, often involving other people, are strictly designed movement-sequences, in which the physical and the vocal are inextricably linked.
Toine presents his works internationally in performances, exhibitions and workshops.
Sorcha Fox is a spoken word writer, an actor and a storyliner for Ros na Rún. For her residency at Áras Éanna, she will be working on new pieces in Irish and English connected to identity and place.
Anna Macleod is a visual Artist and Independent researcher based in County Leitrim. Her practice mediates complex ideas associated with contemporary, historical and cultural readings of land use through a variety of visual art media and sculptural processes.
Selma Makela is based in County Galway. Her practice references meteorological and geological phenomena as a means to explore the complexity of memory, migration and our changing environment.
